HSBC New Street Birmingham
Soot-contaminated specialist clean, full site clean up and refresh to bank premises
Project Gallery

The Challenge
A fire-damaged, soot-contaminated city-centre bank branch on a busy pedestrianised street required urgent specialist soot removal. Soot particles had spread across counters, fixtures, ceilings and IT equipment, creating a hazardous environment and threatening to delay the branch reopening programme.
Our Approach
Our cleaning division delivered specialist soot removal services, mobilising a fully PPE-equipped team working in shifts with tower access, HEPA vacuum extraction and chemical-free soot sponges. We followed a controlled clean sequence to prevent soot resettlement, safely restoring fixtures, surfaces and air quality. The 12-day programme included a full site clean up and refresh so the branch was left presentation-ready.
The Outcome
All soot-contaminated areas were safely cleaned, the site was fully refreshed and handed back within 12 days, on budget at £65,000, allowing the follow-on refurbishment team to start on programme and the branch reopening to stay on track.
